Canon 40D on the way?

Well I'm all set....my 20D has less than 600 clicks.
Speed of bootup and AF improvements is what I was after over my 10D.
No hurry to UG again for another coupla years.
But anyone who is ready for a UG the 30D will be a bargain soon.
I'm not all caught up in the tech advancement jive.
I still say it's the person behind the box that makes the photo.

SOME and I quote SOME advancements are worth having.
The mega pixel bit isn't REAL important to me seeing I don't make anything over 8x10 or 16x20. 8mp covers this just fine.
I read somewhere that the mega pixel thing is mostly hype due to the fore mentioned.
Only 2 advancements that are of intrest to me.....
Self cleaning sensor and 100,000 shutter life.
Other than that I don't see anything really my 20D don't have.

IF I could sell some of my work and use the profits twards a 30D or 40D is the only way I'd UG.
Nice part this time is the BG-E2 will fit the 20D....30D and the 40D.
The 10D grip wouldn't so I had to let it go and start over.
The BP511 batts will also fit all 4.

you will definately see a significant droop in prices of the 30D when this comes out...20Ds went from about $1000-1100 down to around $700-800 when the 30D came out....

I figured they would bring it out in time for the Christmas shopping frenzy. I just picked up the 30D from B&H for $989 another indication the 40D was soon to be released, the problem with waiting for big price drops is that it doesn't always happen that way, and you end up not finding a 30D places like B&H won't even list them as soon as the 40D comes out about the only place you can find a new 20D is Beach Camera. I doubt the 30D will go much below $800-900 from the reputable dealers.
