Ok, I got the 30D back today...wooo hoooo! Initial shots look good but i really need to put it through its paces to see if it is actually any better than when i sent it to them. The repair bill said they cleaned and adjusted the sensor or "C-MOS Image" as they call it.. replaced the TFT display ( didnt think anything was wrong with it..lol) updated firmware, adjusted AF, and reset the camera back to bone stock shape... I just took a few shots around the yard and it seems to be working fine but like i said, i need to really use it this weekend to be sure. So far Im kind of impressed with canon NJ service.. although, if they'd a used UPS to return it, I would have had it wednesday instead of today... oh well.. and for the record, I packed it to ship a whole lot better than they did. I put it in a static proof bag, wraped it in a bubble bag and wroped that in a big ball of bubbles then put it in a good sized box with "peanuts", they wraped it in a piece of plastic wrap, stuck it in a regular zip lock bag and wrapped it in brown paper and stuck it in a small box..lol THE NERVE!!!
