DAY 1 ~ To WOODSTOCK, VERMONT
From your early afternoon arrival into Albany, New York, we will go east into rural Vermont to commence our New England autumn sojourn in Old Bennington. Taking mostly 'back roads' on our way to Woodstock, several New England villages will earn our photographic attention as they flaunt their rustic charms. On to our 2 night base near Woodstock.

DAY 2 ~ The WOODSTOCK region
We’ll start at sunrise down at the New England autumn classic, Jenne Farm . . . perhaps the most photographed farm on the planet! In the region are other New England classics, and among those photo priorities will be the Quechee Gorge, and Sleepy Hollow Farm etcetera. As we go we’ll take time to compose small vignettes of New England life, along with details in macro where they may lie.
DAYS 3 and 4 ~ The PEACHAM region
Following more sunrise photography and breakfast on Day 3, we’ll head north to Montpelier via more autumn scenic delights including the area around Tunbridge; covered bridges here and there; Chelsea; and Washington. Barre is nearby and noted for it's granite production.
Going east on day 4, we’ll take a day to explore the 'calendar' villages of Peacham and the ‘Barnets’ along with some classic New England scenes including Hillside Acres Farm and some lesser known spots we've yet to see other photographers pointing lenses at. [we like it that way!]
MONTPELIER, 2 nights
DAY 5 ~ To ALBANY via STOWE
We'll make an early start for first light photography northwestwards in the Stowe region. Following a number of stops in the area we'll make a loop to take in Smuggler’s Notch pass underneath Mt. Mansfield and the Grist Mill covered bridge at Jeffersonville. Then via Cambridge and the Burlington region plus scenes of Lake Champlain as we take the Charlotte-Essex ferry back into New York state. Interstate 87 will put us back at our hotel near Albany in good time for a relaxing evening.
