Just a not to those who do not know, but you have to pay (well, call it a donation) in order to enter the Audubon contest. I am an Audubon member, and receive the magazine, and still have to pay to enter.

    darn those Audobon freaks!!!! lol...

funny, i just read an article in Range finder on Photo contests and reading the fine print and understanding it when entering a photo contest.. one I knew was they may keep the phot and you transfer all right to it to them meaning they can use it how they see fit and even mke $$$ off it or sell it (side note.. alot of the more shady contests will actually, after the contest, sell the photos for stock at pennies on the dollar because they didnt cost a thing for them to get, so its 100% profit.) also, if you hae say, a coke sign in the background and the contest holders get in trouble by coke for copyright infringement, even though they hold the image rights, you may still get stuck with any fines or lawsuits and other charges... aint that a hoot? Also, sometimes winners dont get thier prizes because they didnt read the fine print and although they included all the model releases and such, they just didnt submit it on the contests holders own forms... so, be carefull out there.
