    Glossy Vs. Luster

Today I was talking with a friend about Glossy Vs. Luster.

Only thing I could think of right a way is that Glossy sometimes shows fingerprints and luster has more of a protective coating.

Anyone want to post what they prefer for what kind of photo's and why??!!

I know there is matalic paper...can that also be done in gloss and luster??

    thanks!!

I have never used metalic, but every thing i print through my site I use luster. It looks more professional to me, its not overly shiny but its not matte either, and like you said you dont see fingerprints from it either.

Luster gives the look of the kodak 35mm paper without the bumps of course we use all glossy because thats what we have... both are good for certain situations... even matte as well...

The metallic papers are really something special... and I have only seen one kind which is shiny... but not like a gloss....

I just about always use matte. Glossy gives way too many reflections depending on what angle you look at it at and how the lighting is where it is hung.
