I know it's last minute... but Ross and I are going to try out a new butterfly place tomorrow (Sunday). Anyone up for some macro?!!
It's called Popp Butterfly Conservatory and it's located in Oneonta, NY (about 1.5 hours east of Albany via I-88). If anyone from the Albany area wants to go, we have room for 2 more people!
We will be heading out early in the morning about 7am and plan to arrive around 9am when they first open.

On a serious note... if you ARE interested please let us know... we shoot conservatories quite a lot... they are incredible to be at... let alone shoot at... we would love to "drag" a few more members into shooting and you do NOT need macro specific gear to get REALLY GOOD shots...

i have been there its a cool little place but they dont allow flashes so bring a monopod an they have some cool lizards an a turtle that was following us around have a good time
Ahhh what a bummer... thats a deal breaker for us... so I guess we are going to Magic Wings...
