Wow Ross. What a find. Guess it was just a matter of someone not knowing what they had? So, who still has 1 hr photo???
Trish and I were garage saleing today... and came across a *non* working Minolta 7000AF with a 50/1.7 and 75-200/4.5, Minolta flash, and 1.7x Teleconverter for $25.... we figured what the heck for the curio cabinet since we havent gotten anything new for it in a while...
Well brought it home and 30 minutes later we were shooting with it... off to drop the roll of film possibly later at the 1hr (sheeesh do they still DO that?) to see how it all comes out... camera was in fantastic shape sans the raggety bag and some cleaning needed... =) I will post up a pic shortly of the rig... =)

So we found after checking out the roll that the long lens seems to have a softness at the long side of the zoom... the 50/1.7 is tack sharp though...
Here is a shot scanned from the negative... cropped in slightly...

Awesome find! I'd love to see more pictures! I actually got a Minolta Hi Matic 7S2 with external flash and (floppy) bag for $3 at a garage sale a few weeks ago. I haven't checked out to see if it works or not yet, but I think this is the start of a nice camera collection.![]()

Heres an example of so mis-focusing the long lens is doing... this is a 100% crop of the scan... this was taken from around 25feet away at 200mm....

Great find, even the so called out of focus isn't all that bad. It does appear to give some very rich colors.
The name is Winston, but please call me Sandy, and never late for dinner.![]()
