Those are some amazing and interesting looking flowers!
The first woody plant to flower on the
property is the Vernal Witch Hazel. It
flowers even before the crocus here at
our 750' elevation.
You may remember me posting this
image of Vernal's sister, Autumnal
Witch Hazel, which is the very last
flower we see in the late fall. These
sisters manage to bracket our growing
season at either end.

Very interesting looking flower buds, I never saw them before. They look almost like shredded paper, nice shots.
