PLEASE....Can you help with my CF card?

I did an event for work on Saturday that I was the photographer for a Breakfast with Santa. I was so busy with another photo shoot this weekend that I didn't get to uploading my photos from the CF card till today. Well.............I went to upload and all my OLD photos that I had deleted (reformated) are still on there and no Santa photos!!!!!!!

I just tried a recovery program and its still picked up my deleted photos that are showing on my card. I even checked all my other cards just to make sure I didn't grab the wrong one (which I knew I didn't because I put it in a seperate spot)

Any help? I have a feeling they are gone forever. I don't plan on using this card anymore. I had an issue with this card before and I thought by reformating it that would fix everything.

I just wrote on it with a sharpie "BAD CARD"!!!!!!

Ok, now..........anyone able to help? I'm only thankful this wasn't wedding photos!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm not sure what I can do for you, except to tell you that I hope you recover your pics.

Btw, what brand of card is it?

It is a Lexar and I've had it for almost 2 years. I am reading on the internet about all kinds of issues with the Lexar brand CF cards. I only wish I would of checked this ealier.

Man, I have two lexars that it looks like I'm going to get rid of. Bought 'em before I saw a poll on dpr where not one person reported a failure with a Sandisk, but every other conceivable card had people reporting bad ones.

I have 3 Sandisk and 2 Lexars. I will be getting rid of the Lexars. I just wish this didn't happen but I guess it was better for this event then say a portrait shoot or a wedding.........I'm so stressed about telling work tomorrow that I can't sleep!

tell them your camera, with the card was stolen from their parking lot... it will get you off the hook, make em all feel sorry for you (sympathy card) and maybe your boss will buy you a new cam!!! lol... seriously, just tell them the card went corrupt and the pics are gone for good.

look on google for ways to retrieve them, I gotta believe there's a way, I mean if they can pull files from a computer harddrive after a flood or fire or crash, then there's gotta be a way to get pictures off a CF Card.

that website lists a few programs that states they can recover corrupted files from any type of memory card. Might be worth a try. Hope you get the pics back!!

I tried some programs and it just pulls photos that I delete off the card from back in May!!!! I told everyone today about the photos and they were ok about it but I still feel HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

Geez, I wish I would of read this sooner............I could of got a new camera!!! I use my camera at work just as much if not more then everywhere else!!!!!!! They owe me!!!!

strange how the shots werent even written to the card.... the card was prolly just bad.. did anything show up on the LCD after you shot?
