I don't necessarily disagree with your nice, nice, very nice assessment.
All three were shot for the local newspaper. The two nice shots led the sports section, the very nice on the jump page.
    Why?

#1 despite not being technically great, and the motion blur in the hand which I hate, the flying hair and the facial expression make it a good newspaper shot.

#3 despite the color cast--not a great concern of mine under a deadline--it's a good shot of a very good player. The young lady's first name is Jordyn and the sports guys labeled it "Air Jordyn," a good package.
The other side is this football shot from Saturday. I liked it. They chose two other shots to run. Ya never know.

That's a great shot... good timing.

I just want to thank Barry Horn for helping me out with this event. It was a pleasure working with Barry. And he captured some GREAT images. I was Barry's first time shooting with strobes and using a remote camera set-up. He was able to master both very well.

Here are 2 images captured by Barry this week-end

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dave this past weekend.

People at NEF know him as the guru of remote camera photography, but I really appreciated it that when Dave said he was going to do something, he followed through.

I look forward to working with Dave again.
