    nice shots, im a little curious as to how that plane ends up parking or taking off from the deck. must be a crane to pick it up and put it in the water.

    I'm not sure if the North Carolina class battleships had this capability or not, but most of the battleships that carried scout planes would launch them from a catapault on the fantail, then retreive the plane with the crane.
    The plane used is called a "Kingfisher". Not sure of it's "official" classification.
