buttermilk falls is just outside Ludlow vermont. from center of ludlow take 103 north, buttermilk falls road will be your first right after passing rt 100N.

somerset reservoir is one of my favorite places to go anytime of year.
easiest way there is from rt 9 heading west out of willmington VT. you will see somerset rd on your right about 5 miles from town.
just about a mile down somerset rd you will get to searsburg reservoir...
for $10 you can take the chairlift to the top and enjoy the views, like this one of somerset reservoir.

from the center of wilmington take rt 9E for aprox 2 miles, you will see hatstack rd on your right (it has a big sign that says "chimney hill" ), take that and follow for aprox 1 mile , just before it turns to dirt...
