I know its late notice but the baloon fest is today and tomorrow. i went tonight and its a great photo op and im sure its going to be better tomorrow with the better weather. If anyone is interested the baloons take off at 6:00AM and 6:00PM, i plan on going back for the 6:00PM launch.
im looking for ideas for a place to go hiking this weekend. requirments are that it must be dog friendly, have something worth taking pics of, and be with in an hour to hour and a half of syracuse. im looking for some place i havent been, or havent heard of so give me some ideas.

The Adirondack Photography Institute has just released its 2007 workshop schedule. We are the only organization of this type offering programs in the Adirondack Park. Our goal is to provide world-class instruction in outdoor photography at locations throughout the park and region.
I'm relocating to NY within the next couple weeks and have bought a house in Niskayuna (right out of Schenectady... which is right out of Albany). Any idea if there are any local areas to take shots?
