Image Posting in threads - Please please, please.. try to keep your images at 1000 Pixels or less on the longest or highest side, this will cut down on load times for those who are on Dial Up and so members who do not use a wide screen monitor can see the whole photo without having to scroll.
Since we should have about 30 people posting up fireworks by mid week I decided to make up a fireworks thread and stick it for a few days... Cant wait to see everyones pics!!!

tried shooting fireworks for the first time last night, i wish i had scouted out a better location but it was the first time seeing the fireworks in this town. i think i have a great spot picked out for next year though!
On my way home from work tonight I spotted a large plume of smoke. So I decided to take a detour and I came upon a rather large structure fire. I arrived about 2 minutes before Springfield Fire Department did. I only stayed about 20 minutes due to the extreme heat and burning embers in the air....

Just downloaded the trial version of Photomatix the other night (hence the Photomatix watermark on the images). Took these in my yard to test it out. neither photo is particularly interesting as I was not worried about the photo itself, simply some shots to test the HDR.
