I am unsure what caused the outage this morning but I would like to extend an apology for it. I will be talking with Mike to see if he has heard anything since it also effected our sister site (www.pdaphonehome.com (http://www.pdaphonehome.com)) and our direct webmail access.

Sorry for the inconvienence!

UNACCEPTABLE! How dare you let the site go down while I'm asleep? What if I woke up? Where would I go? Who would I turn to?

OK OK... Apology accepted.

No bigy here, I spent last night installing a new DSL modem mine took a lightning strike, one hell of a storm, the bolt hit my backyard I guess I'm lucky the only thing that blew was the modem, so quick trip to Radio Shack and all is well, well it will be as soon as I reconfigure my router.

Did you find out what it was that was causing it?

07-12-2007, 07:51 PM
the techs said that there were an large amount of spambot IP addys (almost like in an attack) hitting the machine which was causing it to be unstable...

07-12-2007, 07:52 PM
i've had that happen on my site as well. every once in a while it's like a scene from the matrix and they all hit at once and then go away.

More than likely it was the spammers that joined and were banned, who did the data storm. Punk Arse kids..

Glad your all back and running!

Could be them chris but I doubt it actually. I don't have a real problem with spammers yet I get hit with those brute force attacks at times as well.
