It was my second year out at Southwick... action shooting is one of my favorites (a slight second only to Macro bugs LOL)... and this year was great - not nearly as hot and a lot less crowded :happy ...and even in the fan-stands - there a several pretty good places to shoot from

First up... Panning Shots

Jumping... I tried to get some shots of the riders catching some air... these spots were a little harder to shoot / further away... but I managed to find a couple keepers...

I think they are awsome too. The panning shots are amazing. They are all good and that that last one of the two boys is so cute. Great work.

Thanks Ross!!.... and Diane :)

I was trying to cut down on the number of shots I take (tired of processing 1k worth of shots after every shoot LOL).... but those boys with their mini bikes in the dirt were too cute...

I still think I need to round up a 200 or 300 prime Nikon lens tho :drool

Trish, if you don't mind, what were you using to shoot these? What camera and lens(es). I would kill to take shots this crisp and clean!

Boy, You did a great job on these pics. I have done a few of these and know first hand how difficult it is to put it all together. You really nailed em! Great job. I was at Southwick on May 7th and shot the NESC race that day. I usually try to get to the Central Village races whenever my schedule allows. Cap'n Fred
