I dont know about you guys and girls... but we do a lot of processing on the road... I am seriously considering one of these...

It looks extremely portable and easily set up...

like a hoodman but for laptops... seriously, it it wasnt for the case, youd just need some pieces of black cardboard. I like the case because you can just open it up and BOOM..instant shade!!

The price seems a bit steep. They must be cheaper at other places.

Well if you figure you could spend $80 easy on a nice case... its hard to find cases that fit 17" laptops well... I am usually not one that likes using the case while typing and useing the laptop because it doesnt allow proper ventilation... but it seems like a decent application...

It's definitely convenient but $150 is a bit much. Especially for something that may not port to the next model laptop. Form factors change and that price is alot to be stuck. I'm in that boat now. When I got my newest laptop I went widescreen and now I'm stuck. I do like the idea though.

how big did you go? the pro is for 17" laptops... which is what I have... 17" wide screen...

i went with 17" widescreen. Does the pro fit standard 17" or widescreen? I've had lots of laptop sizes over the years though. They constantly change. Tough to be locked into something so specific, IMO.

I would have to call... I would assume with all the laptops going widescreen it should fit... but you just never know...

Ross, have you tried one of these, or just thinking about it. When we do outdoor tournaments with laptops, it is a killer. I may get these for that situation alone.

I have not used one... but it DEFINATELY would work well... Trish and I spend a lot of time on the road processing and going through shots while driving... I know its always an issue there... plus even when we are at location in the back of the truck some stray light issues are always happening... I would think this would work really well...
