I recently tried my hand at selective coloring. Some of the shots themselves aren't the best quality but the coloring came out pretty well for a first try.

Here's mom with a Mother's Day margarita bouquet

My brother on the day of his college graduation:

My Fiance's daughter. The matching hair pieces makes this one.

This one is my Uncle Tommy's tattoo - Jerry the mouse - Tom and Jerry. Clever, huh?

And Uncle Tommy's fire truck. This was after its post September 11th repairs

My brother doing what he does best. I like the subtlety of his shirt in this one.

Last but not least - the older generation of the family. You can't plan something like this - same color sweaters and pants. All with their arms and legs crossed the same way and looking the same way. TOO funny!

Great job on these. I've seen most of 'em, but I hadn't seen L-13. That's a really cool shot.

Those are my soon-to-be stepdaughters. I'm sure you can expect to see more and more shots of them as time goes on. HA!

I hafta say from a Photographic stand-point I think the one with the Tat is my fav......then the Older Generation 2nd.
The others don't fit the situation IMHO but then that's me. :)

Selective coloring can be over done or not fit the photo...again IMHO.

After looking back, I'd have to agree that some of them don't necessarily fit the typical SC profile. It was my first foray into that technique and I was coloring everything in sight just to do it. I think my brother on the keg is probably the least appropriate one of the bunch. My 2 favorites are the same as yours followed by the grad pic. So many caps and gowns, I thought it was cool to let one stand out.

I agree here. And one more thing.... get the timestamp off your pics. ;)

Timestamp is gone. Took that off a while ago when I decided it was time to get more serious about me photos.

Yeah, I used to use the timestamp a long time ago to keep track of when I took the pics LOL.

But using digital for awhile now.... it's so much easier to keep track of WHEN I took the pics. ;)
