Caught one of several goldfinchs that came around today. handheld 1/90 300mm, don't think it came out to bad.

Just my great choice of food, and my charming personality. :D :D

I have no idea, they've been coming around the feeders for a couple of weeks now.

Wow, that's impressive for that focal length/shutter speed combo. Was that with IS?

Sandy, what seeds are you using? is it a mix or just thistle?? i was gonna get a bag but all they had at Lowes were the huge $12.00 bags!! so i just got the mix because all the other birds dig it..

You should get one of the thistle socks. I got one at wal-mart for a couple dollars. Put it up yesterday and today im already getting gold finches. Might have to go out with the camera and get some shots.

I only use basicly one seed and that is the black oiled sunflower, I do also buy a 25 lb bag of what I call woodpecker mix, it's got nuts corn and black oiled sunflower, that usually goes in to my woodpecker feeder. I never had much luck with the thistle and other seeds.
