Having been inspired by ctgirl I thought I might post some of my cemetery shots.

This is one in Canton CT.

I find some Irony in this one John Dean was White House Counsel under Pres Nixon, if you look to the left you see Nixon and on the Right is John Dean

I titled this one 'Looking Down on You'

Green Lady Cemetery - Covey Road - Images of green mist and the "Green Lady" formerly Elisabeth who died next to the cemetery in swampland-she drowned
and supposedly her husband would not or could not save her. She is seen walking on the dirt road the cemetery is located on in a green mist.

Her headstone. Notice how it's covered in green

Great photos, I especially love the last one and the third one.
Studio CMC, I really like the last one, but I think it's just a tad too dark. My brothers name is Chris Carroll... maybe we're distant cousins LOL

Being the noob here, should I have started my own thread with this subject? I was building on Stoneylonesome's post, I did not mean to tread on his/her thread subject.

ctgirl: Hmm, how odd is that!? Where are you exactly? have you lived there all of your life?

Perhaps thats a Private message sort of question..

Then again: He could be paing my Taxes this year! Whoohoo!

Image Quality: I uploaded this from my laptop, I have not done a color balance for this machine. I need to do that! Thanks for pointing this out to me ctgirl!

Thanks all for the comments, I have more. I feel that in some ways by visiting and photographing cemeteries and tombstones, in my own way I'm so great respect to the people buried there.

Chris, no problem adding photos on this thread, all are welcome to post here. we could make it an official cemetery/tombstone thread. Here's another that I like , only for the sign at the entrance.

"I sure hope so" :)

great shots... i've been to Green Lady in the middle of the day, and I was still rushing to get back to the car. That place is TOO quiet

You should drive down that road at dusk if you want to feel creepy. My son and his friends have been there in the evening and walked in the woods, very unsettling feeling and just plain wierd.
Thanks for the comments.

Here is a site with some info about the green lady cemetery
