I want to submit one of the below photos to JPG magazine in the "Entropy" category, but I'm having a hard time making up my mind as to which I'll submit (I enjoy wasting my time). I'd appreciate some feedback to help me decide on which would be least likely to lose horribly.

Actually really like all of them (which I am sure helps a bunch...LOL)... if I had to pick just one I would say I like #2 the best...

I'd like to title the series "Honey, you take me to the nicest places" I notice he didn't mention we had to walk over a mile to get there! I like them all too, but my favorites are 6 and 7.

Definately #2

It has nice composition that draws you in. I love the rustyness and faded color of the truck.

I would suggest cropping out a tad of the top and right-hand side background. Leave some of it to give the door a place (rather than floating), but I find too much background distracting when the focus of the picture is really the door. Bringing the top right corner down closer to the angle of that door will make the composition much stronger. I would boost the color a bit too - less in a vivid "pop" kind of way - but more in a subtle, dreamy strong color sort of way.

Good stuff! Good luck with your entry!

Teresa-

I had the the same thoughts about #2. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a decent crop out of it. No matter which way I go with it, it comes out looking odd. I would have loved to have cropped out the sky. That'll learn me to compose better when I'm shooting.....If I'd have been shooting at more of a down angle, and a little further back, I'd have been golden. So, it ended up up this way.

Please play with it, if you can figure out a good crop without blowing the dimensions, I'd love to see it.

I originally thought that #2 was a big contender to submit, but the sky was too distracting. But like I said, I couldn't get a crop that looked good-- so it stayed that way.

And ignore Mrs. Jack....."Waaaaa....I wad to walk.....Waaaaaaa"

Tough choice between 2 and 7 but I have to go with #7 love the old hot dog lunch wagon and the bullet holes in it and the trash can just add to the whole picture.

Good Luck!

The watermarks are there just because I pulled a quick copy of them off my website (because they weren't too large for posting), which automatically watermarks my galleries. They're not the originals.

Here's #2 in various stages of cropping. I think the top left corner of the original was the pictures anchor, and it all fell apart with the crop.
What do you guys think? left to right is original, crop 1 crop 2

I like number 7 the best... number 2 a close second. So which one of us is your wife?

I think the first crop is the best... but I've never been good at creative cropping.
