This building was originally a firehouse built in 1858. It is now part of the Villa Tronco Ristorante.

An old hotel that is being renovated to become a Sheraton.

Finally, my favorite shot of the day...(you know there had to be something rail related in here :o: ). This boxcar is now marooned. The rest of the rails through this part of town have been ripped up quite awhile ago.

Awesome series of photos. Looks like some really unique things around Columbia for shooting.

And I wonder how many people have hit the wall there thinking the tunnel was real. Is there a bar close by? You know there has got to be atleast one moron who's done it lol.

Thanks much Ryan.

I'd imagine that it has happened before. Especially since Columbia is a college town (University of South Carolina). :D

Great series, both parts. The Panhandlers sign cracked me up.

Another wonderful series. I too wonder how many people have tried to drive through the tunnel. :doh

Thanks everyone for all of your comments. There's definitely plenty more to shoot around Columbia and the next time the weather's halfway decent, I plan on heading out there again.

This was a great series of pics. I had to go back to the tunnelvision and look at it closer. I missed it at first. I probably would have been the one to drive thru. Great job! Fred
