Wow, that is a sweet find. Any story behind it? Is it a functional unit, or abandoned. Here's another one I found... http://www.srmduluth.org/Exhibits/misc.htm This is about the only thing on the net about the American Dieselectric Crane

Nice find guys!

They're not all that rare. Amtrak has one roaming around CT. I caught this one while riding with the CSOR in July 2005. It was in a siding north of the Berlin, CT Amtrak station.

CSX has one hidden away in the West Springfield Intermodal Yard. I've seen them use it a few times. I wonder if that D&H one still runs.

That looks familiar! :) MP 44.2 on the Canadian Mail Line. I go by it 4 times a week! Ross should buy it though... I know a nice place he can put it!

Ross, an old Caboose would make a great "Office" for TRJ Photography... or a great storage shed or even a place for a certain someone to raise bugs!!:happy

If you're serious about the caboose, I've got a line on an ex-B&M for sale for about $10,000, and it's on an active rail line, so it can be shipped by rail. ;) :D

Just sell all that L glass and you've got it!! ;)
