The Saratoga Battlefield is a good place for shooting... nice scenery, a few historic structures and cannons, and the occasional macro subject =)

Here is a link to the National Park Service's (NPS) site about the Saratoga Battlefield... there is some interesting history, as well as schedules for when it's open, directions, events, etc...

These are all decent compositions, Trish, but I think they are not very "focused" (in non-photographic meaning of the word). In other words, I have a hard time trying to tell what was your point-of-interest when you decided on a particular subject or a way of showing it. That is, unless you wanted to present a series of documentary shots. After all, a cannon is just a cannon - I don't see any particular beauty in the damned thing. But I think I remember seeing your post in which you divulged your military lineage. That would certainly explain things...

My favored image is the third one from the top. Perhaps because I get some context for the main subject of it.
