There is an interesting thread at POTN on how to get a free set of gels for your flash, and how to use them. I've ordered them and will post more details once I check them out. Just posting the placeholder here so I don't lose the information source.

i thought i saw those on "Strobist" and the members were complaining that they actually had them Melt to their strobes!

All gels will melt in this usage. Even the gels that come with the Nikon SB-800 melt after a bit of use. They tell you this in the instructions. I will make sure that it is not actually touching the face of the flash head, which would be where you'd have a problem.

yeah, they say the real deals are melt proof..dunno how so but.. just thought id give the heads up so's no one hurts a good flash unit.
