This isnt the newer plastic mount 50/1.8 II, this is the older series one. You will be hard pressed to find one in perfect condition like this one for the price! Since this was the only 52mm threaded lens I had the buyer gets 11 filters for FREE!

F/1.8 maximum aperture
Open aperture window (series II does not have)
IR adjustment mark (Series II does not have)

This baby is in incredible condition and is VERY sharp even wide open!!!

Yup...gonna go for the 1.4 and get the rebates... its been on the back burner a while... its about time now...

I have the 1.4 if you want to check it out. I used to have the Nikon 1.8 and 1.4 and there was really very little difference between them. I don't know if the same is true with the 1.4. I know that the Canon 50mm f/1.4 is quite a bit slower to autofocus than the 85 1.8.

yeah but quite a bit faster then the non-USM 1.8... I actually got to try one out at Stuyvesant a while back... it'll do...

ross mentioned he posted it up... so i jumped on it... i always said if he sold his id buy it... great timing... i made a lil extra cash the last 2 weekends so it wont hurt my budget either :-D

Glad it stayed in the NEF family. Have fun checking it out. The nifty-50 is a great lens and should be in every photographer's bag.

exactly what ross said about a yr ago when i got my camera... i havent bought any new toys for my camera since i got it so im past due.. i love fall.. so im gonna have to go play with it since we got some nice colors out there...

Just beware that primes are addicting, and can be expensive!
