Took a little trip at lunch (hey, blue sky, nice weather - couldn't miss it :D). Here's one shot of an Amtrak regional coming off of the Connecticut River drawbridge into Old Lyme, CT. Note the engineer enjoying the view of the Connecticut River. Got a bunch more - I'll post 'em later.

Very nice. Tom, What were your settings for that? I've been trying for a while to get a pan shot like that but everytime the locomotive comes out blurry.

Takes practice getting the pan right, unless the train is going quite fast. This one was shot at f/8, ISO 100, 1/160 at 200mm. They were only doing 20 or so off of the bridge, so it took a couple tries. The key is to keep your shutter speed high enough to negate any camera shake, but also slow enough to show movement in the surrounding scene.
