Nothing spectacular, but figured I'd share anyway. The fam and I went up to Ross Pound (I think its in Danielson) We wanted to go up the cliffs, but had the kids and weren't up for the hike. So I just snapped a few random photos.

This is the path into the woods

I just loved the way that this looked like a path, but wasn't

and this berry caught my eye. It's in the bottom right hand corner of the last photo, it stuck out like a sore thumb, so I had to get down and take a picture

Wish I had a macro, but not bad for the kit. I should be getting my macro this week though so expect to see alot of macro shots!

and of course the family

They don't look as sharp as they do on photoshop, maybe I took some of that away when I resized, oh well. Thanks for looking.

Nice shots. Looks like a beautiful place. A little hint do any sharpening especially USM after you resize. I basiclly don't do any sharping other than the USM and that is after I resize. It doesn't take much to make the photo really POP on a moniter than.

Thanks for the comments. I never remember to sharpen after I resize, but after seeing these I'm gonna have to. I can't wait to get back there and get to the top of the cliffs should make for a good foliage shot.

Thanks for the compliments, hopefully soon I will be able to get out for a full day (childless) and get some good shots. I think my next day out I plan on going to East Haddam and take some photos, I grew up there so I want to take some of the typically photos from there, and some of the lesser known spots that I know about from living there, I just have to find the time...

Thanks ZR2, his mohawk is usually spiked, but we were just hanging around that day, it's gonna be cold soon though so we'll have to let his hair grow in for the winter :(
