First regular game I've shot for the year... still a little rusty. I shot with 1DMk2Ns and 200 f/1.8, 135 f/2, and 24-105 f/4 IS. This gym is very dimly lit, so f/2, 1/400s, ISO1600, and I'm still at least a stop under exposed. I used manual White Balance set with an Expodisc, and I tried shooting with Picture Style set to Neutral. Only processing was correcting exposure (which I did quickly with levels), and sharpening with USM.

Yeh, I usually do a feet shot in the huddle. Last year it was funny because the coach on this team had on (at that game) this wicked spiked high heals with a very pointed toe... then the contrast to the girls volleyball shoes, it made for an interesting shot, and I think made it into the yearbook for them.

lol... I always hated VollyBall In gym class! Hated it!
Great job Mike, The pics look incredible for ISO 1600.. I can even Imagine pumping the 30D up to its highest ISO, I get enough noise at ISO 100 for crying out loud!
Hey, any thoughts on as to why? Is it because im under exposing and bumping up the brightness in PS?
