An EXCELLENT place for some deep woods waterfall opps Texas Falls located in Rochester, VT. I found this place last summer and hope to return in the fall. It is an easy walk for anyone of any age and ability as the parking lot is a matter of feet from the observation deck. There are trails/stairs and 2 hiking trails, too. The water is a sea foam greenish blue and they are absolutely stunning. Unfortunately I was still fairly new to this when I took these shots, but they give you an idea. This is why I plan to get back real soon for a second go at it.

Outhouses, picnic grounds, hiking trails.

Been there, shows that great photographic minds travel in the same circles:happy While on the subject of falls, just north of Rochester in Granville on Rte 100 is Moss Glen Falls. right off the side of the road.

Beautiful shot. Have heard of that and seen many pics but have not yet gone. I did not realize it was that close. I will have to check it out next time I am there :) Is it a hike or close to the parking?

If you drive off the road you'll be in it. There is a small parking area on the side of 100 and a very short path and boardwalk to the falls. I'd say it's no more than 50' off the edge of the road. Course than just keep on heading north and you'll get to Warren VT. and this covered bridge

And of course a few more miles north you'll hit Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream place. :happy :happy

Awesome pics and great info......I have seen that covered bridge before. Before my accident we had done a "Covered Bridge" tour on the motorcycles.......I had wanted to do it again, but this time with the cameras in hand.
We did manage to make it through out Vermont and get pics of the "moose" Painted statues that were throughout the Rutland area.....pics are in the Gallery :D

Is this a good place to hike / take pics? I'm playing Tour Guide with the parents this weekend and thought this might be a good spot to hang out and get some shots.
