Yesterday on a whim we took a drive out to the Berkshire Scenic line... the two things I would suggest is to make sure you go early and being some Deepwoods Off for while you are at the station...

It was a really nice ride down through the Berkshires and definately a train I would go back and ride again. One of the staff even hinted that there may be a possibility of a few runs during the winter time... if so I am there. Here are some pics from the yard and ride...

Great shots!! Love the one with the engineer on the front of the stand-alone engine....seems like a gateway to the past.

I actually thought the same thing... I had went through doing levels and the works.. and it just didnt look right... so I went back and re-processed with leaving colors and levels alone... I also went and did an action in PS called Moody that Zacker gave Trish and I... if you want to see that I can repost it... it looks awesome...

I LOVE both the shots... although the first one I personally may have rotated it right about a degree or so... just to level the train...

You guys are really doing a great job with the trains. Ross, that first series looks great... the color saturation looks dead on and the images really capture the moment.

Trish... great B&W work. That first one is awesome and could pass for a historic image. It almost looks like it was done IR.

Thanks guys.... I actually did think about rotating and played around a little bit, but the picture is cropped so tight that if I rotated more than 1 degree, I would have to cut at the corner of the train... I decided keeping the whole train in the shot with at least enough room not to cause bad framing, was more important than the slight angle..... trade off I guess
