Was just thinking about how much I really want to get off my ass and get my 10D down to www.MaxMax.com (http://www.MaxMax.com) to get the IR-Only done... so I went out and shot a couple shots in IR with filters... of course there are no leaves... so you really dont get much in the lines of IR reflection...

actually to do IR seems like it would be a big deal... but it isnt.. its a technique you can do with minimal extra equipment... you need for this instance... a tripod, camera (of course), a lens which doesnt have a flare problem while using IR, and an IR filter (Hoya R72 $50)

IR is more about manipulating the camera to see infrared light... but since the camera cannot focus with the filter installed you must do all the setting changes prior... in manual mode.. and turn off autofocus... install the filter... and shoot...

NOW you're talking! LOL

Although I did manage to get the aperture idea, AND the macro idea. :rock

This should be a piece of cake. LOL ;)

This should be a piece of cake. LOL ;)

the first few times I did it I had no teacher... and it took me a little while to get the light right... it takes a bunch of time since you have to deal with settings the whole time you are doing it... and each shot with a filter can take as much as 30 seconds of shutter... so its a long drawn out process... but all in all the theory of it... is very easy...

OK...here we go... it was SUPER overcast... and almost dark out... here are some REAL IR pics taken with an IR converted camera!!!! Sorry that the quality isnt super great... but with it being SO dark I can see where they wont be perfect... it was about 5:30pm when I took these..
