Our Church had a production of the Imagine Christmas show this year. I was a camera operator for the video production, and I brought my 1DMark III and took a few candid shots between my takes. These are a few that I got... was a very fun production.

Beautiful shots, especially under stage lighting. Looks like you where able to get pretty close.

This was actually the dress rehearsal, and yes I was standing in near darkness. Our Church has a pretty big video production setup and I'm an on stage camera operator roving with a tethered Canon XL-H1 and headset. For this production, there were two of us shooting from the floor right in front of the state, three operators with bigger cameras in the back on tripods, and one remote control ceiling mounted camera. We do this for iMag on 2 large screens to the sides of the stage. With all that gear, and in the dark, I was only able to grab my still camera for a few shots. I used the Mark III and 135 f/2... and I was using all of that to get the shots.

This is what the video cameras look like that we are using for roving.
