Were you looking for a dSLR or a point-N-shoot or does it not matter? Do you want a specific IR spectrum?

Hi,

I have been looking on Ebay for awhile, so so.

Either but this being my off season, funds are a factor.

I have looked at results with a 665 and a 720 filter, I like them both but I think the 720 is more practicle??

Thanks for helping.

I have a site set up{can I link it here?} Take a look.

I have dealt with an eBay seller that I would absolutely sent you to check out... his username is NCMOP... heres a link to his stuff...

http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/ncmop_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ

Here is the same as what I have bought from him:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-PowerShot-G7-10-Megapixel-Infrared-Digital-Camera_W0QQitemZ270346388271QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDig ital_Cameras?hash=item270346388271&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

The good thing about it... is with a P-N-S camera in full spectrum you can make the choices as to your cut off points... I went and bought a set of 715, 815, and 900 cut off filters and added a R25 (thats around the 665nm cut off) and then you have a full kit... the camera comes with a 715nm cut off... and you can find kits of IR filters for pretty cheap for the no name stuff...

Hi

I have a leg on two IR cameras.

A used Canon 300d with grip and 2 batteries, 18-55 lense. A 715nm conversion.
375.00

A Canon rebel xt with 18-55 lense and a 715 conversion 350.00.

What seems a better way to go in your opinion.

Thanks,

Bill

I would personally go with the XT... newer technology... thats the same camera and conversion I have for one of mine... the 18-55mm probably isnt going to be usable though... I think that lens produces hotspots... if my memory serves me correctly...
