I took the Rebel XT IR camera out for its maiden voyage this past weekend... kinda cool even though IR in the wintertime isnt as drastic...

I was relaxing at camp and was playing around with selective color... not so great but hey... it was processed at camp...LOL

IR is light just above the human visability spectrum... so the light you see in the pictures you dont "see" with the human eye... but with a specially set up camera it blocks all UV light and only sees the IR light... anything that reflects IR shows up as white (leaves, certain materials)...things that dont turn black...

Wow, look at that red sky..........freaky but cool......

the red sky is actually the original color... I left it in there so that you can see the color the shots start with....=)

i love landscapes in IR... i love the way the trees and skys look... ross, does the converted camera AF and all that type stuff the same as it would, non IR and does it get the same SP as it would normally get?

As far as the camera... if I didnt tell you it was IR... and you didnt look at the LCD after you shot... you wouldnt know it was an IR... everything functions as normal including AF and metering... the only thing is that you have to shoot around -1EC to get the exposure correct or correct later in PS or PSP....
